Color Matching
If you have a stain color that you want replicated we can match it. When you pick a stain we will create a story pole that has samples of all the colors you have picked out, or that we made trying to find your matching stain color. This will help compare colors and can be taken home. If you are happy with the final color then we will mix up or order what's needed. NOTE our custom paint colors come from General Finishes and are custom matched professionally by them in East Troy Wisconsin.
These are all the samples we use to help us match and make colors. We always keep these for reference.
Story Poll Color Matching
Whether you need a color matched or not we will make a sample. This sample is called a story poll. Each sample is specific to the wood type and stain sample you chose, or to the color that is being matched. We start with a base color and work from there going up the poll showing the change as we progress. This allows you to see a story of colors that are related to the color you chose. Taking the story poll home will help you pick the exact color you would like on your project. If you want the color to have more or less of a color, we will go ahead and add that to the poll. With the poll you can easily compare the colors. The poll also helps us during the project, so we are certain the color matches throughout the project.
